Today I tried an entirely different location.It was at mile marker 183 at Amherstview Ontario outside Kingston.It started out sunny and not to warm but just enough to be comfortable for a while till it became overcast and cooled off somewhat.This was a good location because in either direction there are banked curves.Which makes for a very nice shot or two.
Also here is THE CLOSEST I have ever gotten to one of these!...but the end result was a next to perfect shot. I'll be damned though if someone from an apartment building here didn't call the cops.He came we had a nice chat ...I'm not kidding CHAT. He was just concerned and just told me to be carefull is all someone in the building he said was concerned.We talked for a few minutes he left and I carried on with my business at hand getting some excellent shots.But I didn't get as many today as I had hoped to.Oh well some days are good and some are bad I guess.

This was the closest I had ever gotten to a train.But hey.....I got a real decent shot out of it.It was worth the scare.

This was a 3 engine unit.Pulling a long what looked like a grain freight.
Couldn't make out the number on this one.
